    Notes: The rupture of the crosslinked rubber membranes in the gel particles of impact polystyrene by ultrasonic energy has been discovered to be a novel route for the semiquantitative analysis of the grafted and occluded polystyrene of the composite. Applying this new technique, the weight-average molecular weight of the matrix, grafted, and occluded polystyrene of a bulk-polymerized impact polystyrene was found to be approximately the same.
